Come spend a full weekend at Hedgerow Pottery learning new wheelthrowing skills, tips, and techniques from master potter and ceramic artist, Tim See.
You will have an opportunity to work alongside Tim during this two-day, hands-on experience. At the beginning of the first day, Tim will spend time getting to know the goals of the group, and will design the content of the workshop based on those discussions.
Students are expected to have a basic knowledge* of the throwing process, and the instruction will build on that foundation. Everything from centering, taller cylinders, bowls, larger forms, surface technique, etc will be covered. This time with Tim will give you opportunity to hone your skills, get feedback on your technique, and leave with lots of new ideas to try at your home studio.
In addition to that, you will meet many other skilled and enthusiastic potters to learn and grow with as well. (Participation is limited to 14 students).
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday, August 17: 9 - 4:30 Workshop for registered participants, with light breakfast and lunch included. Studio open for practice until 8:30. Optional group dinner out.
Sunday, August 18: 9 - 4:30 Workshop for registered participants, with light breakfast and lunch included.
**Detailed workshop schedule will be sent a few weeks prior to the event.
COST: $550.00
*Cost includes instruction, studio clay (B-Mix 5 will be used during the workshop), studio tools and supplies, breakfast/lunch on Sat and Sun.
**NOTE** This is a hands on learning and practice workshop weekend. NO WORK WILL BE KEPT. *This is Tim's policy at all workshop due to students taking more chances and pushing themselves more with work, instead of focusing on a "finished product".
*Basic Knowledge: Please have some experience on the wheel prior to coming to class. You can absolutely be a begginer, but a basic understanding of the process is necessary. Please message Meghan with any specific questions about this.
