Come enjoy a fun little class to make your very own Textured Press Plates!
Students will be given slabs of clay to decorate with a variety of textured mats, rollers, and stamps. After that, we will use a template to cut the clay into shapes, and then press into foam to create a lovely finished plate or tray. Students will have the option to create 2 trays in this session, with the option to make more at $15 per tray (limit 5 total per participant).
After all the trays are made, students will get to choose from a selection of studio glazes for their piece to be finished in. Hedgerow Staff will then take the pieces, fire them in our kilns, add the glaze color of choice, and then fire again to completion.
Dress for creativity and come ready to have fun in this 1 - 2 hour session
Saturday August 3, 2pm: $60 per participant.
Class is appropriate for all ages.
Note: Due to events taking place at Hedgerow Pottery in mid-August, Students will be contacted to arrange work pick-up after this session concludes.
