This class is a sampler for both sides of the the pottery world. You can choose to focus on wheelthrowing, handbuilding, or try out both!
The handbuilding portion of session introduces students to pottery techniques and forms that do not involve a wheel. Everything from mugs and trays to mini houses, coil pots, and more.
The wheelthrowing portion of the session is created with the beginner and intermediate student in mind. Class sizes are small, allowing instruction to be individualized to each student's skill-level and studio interests. Forms such as cylinders, bowls, and plates will be taught, along with many modification and variations of those forms. For experienced students, we can cover techniques such as trimming, lids, handles, etc.
Class fee includes instruction, use of studio tools and equipment, glazes, and firings. Clay is included with your first session, and available for purchase as needed.
