Workshop Description
In this workshop, participants will learn how to make wire stamps, slab mugs, handles and butter
dishes.
Experience: All Levels
Students will spend two days at Hedgerow Pottery learning the skills for making a handmade mug, a butter dish, and a few other supporting techniques with high temp wires and glazing in Juliann's creative and whimsical style.
Each day of this 2 day workshop will be filled with hands on creativity with two pieces you'll be able to take home after. (NOTE: Created pieces will be greenware. An option will be available for bisque and shipping after the workshop).
Light brunch refreshments, a lunch meal, and snacks will be included with the workshop each day.

Day 1: Saturday May 31, 2025
Demo and Make Wire Stamps
Demo making slab mugs using wire stamps.
Demo handle making using found objects for texture
Have students make a mug using the same techniques
Lunch break
Finish mugs
Demo glazing
Have attendees start to glaze the tile or ornament
Day 2: Sunday, June 1, 2025
Demo making a butter dish
Talk about using high temperature wire for decoration
Have students start their butter dishes
Lunch break
Finish butter dishes
Finish glazing tiles
